Sitcom LD Cream combines Lidocaine, a local anaesthetic that numbs the area and blocks pain signals, with Euphorbia Prostrata Extract, a plant-derived ingredient traditionally used to tone blood vessels and calm local inflammation.

Together, the two ingredients are formulated for topical use around the anal area to bring down the pain, burning and itching that come with piles and anal fissures, while supporting the healing of irritated tissue.

  • Lidocaine 3% w/w (local anaesthetic)
  • Euphorbia Prostrata Extract 1.0% w/w (plant-derived venotonic and anti-inflammatory agent)
  • Provides fast, localised relief from pain, burning and itching around the anal area
  • Helps reduce local inflammation and swelling associated with piles and fissures
  • Supports comfort during and after bowel movements, when this is often at its worst
  • Can be used during recovery after anorectal surgery, if your surgeon recommends it
  • Non-greasy formulation that is easy to apply with the enclosed applicator
  • Gently clean the anal area with plain water and pat it dry before application.
  • Apply a thin layer, roughly one to one and a quarter inches from the tube, using the applicator or a clean fingertip.
  • Use it after each bowel movement, or as often as your doctor has advised, generally for up to 14 days.
  • Wash your hands thoroughly after applying the cream.
  • This cream is for external and perianal use only; it must never be swallowed or applied near the eyes.
  • During a flare-up of piles (haemorrhoids), when pain, burning or itching is most troublesome
  • For an anal fissure, particularly around the time of a bowel movement
  • During the recovery period after anorectal surgery, only if your surgeon has advised it
  • Adults with a doctor-confirmed diagnosis of piles or an anal fissure
  • Adolescents, only on a doctor’s specific recommendation
  • Anyone with a known allergy to lidocaine or other amide-type local anaesthetics, or to Euphorbia prostrata
  • People with significant liver disease, since local anaesthetics are broken down by the liver
  • Anyone with a bleeding disorder or currently on blood-thinning medication, without their doctor’s approval
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women, unless their doctor has confirmed it is suitable
  • Infants and young children, unless specifically advised by a paediatrician
  • Mild stinging, redness or a brief burning sensation at the application site can happen and usually passes quickly.
  • Stop using the cream and seek medical attention if you notice unusual paleness or blue-grey discolouration of the skin, a fast heartbeat, shortness of breath or dizziness, as these can be rare signs of a condition called methemoglobinaemia linked to local anaesthetics.
  • If you are on blood thinners, use the cream cautiously and mention it to your doctor.
  • See your doctor if bleeding, pain or swelling does not improve within about a week of regular use, since ongoing symptoms may need a closer examination or a different treatment.
  • Keep the tube tightly capped between uses and store it away from direct heat.
  • Keep out of the reach of children.
